Yamama Cement plant is one of the leading cement plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1381 AH by His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, may he rest in peace. The plant began production in 1386 AH with a single production line (Kiln No. 1) with a production capacity of 300 tons of clinker per day. The plant continued to develop and expand, with the first expansion taking place in 1392 AH by adding a second production line (Kiln No. 2) with a production capacity of 800 tons of clinker per day. The second expansion followed in 1398 AH with the addition of two production lines, each with a production capacity of 1,500 tons of clinker per day (Kiln No. 3 and Kiln No. 4).

The third expansion occurred in 1402 AH with the addition of Kiln No. 5, increasing production from 1,400 tons of clinker per day to 5,600 tons per day. The fourth expansion, in 1411 AH, increased production from 5,600 to 8,650 tons per day by adding a complete production line (Kiln No. 6) with a production capacity of 3,000 tons of clinker per day. The fifth expansion introduced Production Line No. 7 with a production capacity of 10,000 tons of clinker per day. This growth was accompanied by expansions in raw material grinding, cement grinding, storage of raw materials and finished products, as well as the generation of electrical power required to operate the plant.
